CHITCHAT VALENTINE’S PHYSICAL DEBIT CARD PROMOTION – TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. THE PROMOTION

The first person to collect their card at the ChitChat Lusaka office between the 5th and 13th February (both days inclusive) shall win back their Chitchat premium+ monthly subscription valued at US$3.

2. PROMOTION PERIOD
The promotion shall run from 5th February 2026 to 13th February 2026, both dates inclusive (“Promotion Period”). Note that the promotion excludes Saturdays and Sundays.

3. ELIGIBILITY

3.2 The promotion is open to:
a) ChitChat premium+ subscribers who apply for a physical ChitChat debit card; and

b) Successfully collect and pick up their physical debit card in person from the ChitChat Lusaka Office during the Promotion Period.

3.3 The promotion is not open to:
a) Employees of Union54;

b) Immediate family members of Union54 employees; or

c) Any person involved in the administration of this promotion.

3.4 Card collections made at any location other than the ChitChat Lusaka Office shall not qualify for this promotion. For the avoidance of doubt, card collections from ChitChat card distribution agents do not qualify for this promotion.

3.5 Card collections by third parties or through courier services do not qualify for this promotion. Only in-person collections by the eligible subscriber shall be valid.

4. HOW TO PARTICIPATE
4.1 To participate, an eligible user must:

a) Apply for a physical ChitChat debit card; and

b) Personally collect the physical debit card from the ChitChat Lusaka Office during the Promotion Period.

4.2 Participation is automatic upon successful collection of the physical debit card in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

5. WINNER SELECTION

5.1 For each day during the Promotion Period, the first eligible user to collect their physical ChitChat debit card from the ChitChat Lusaka Office shall be declared the daily winner.

5.2 Only one (1) winner per day shall be selected.

5.3 Determination of the “first eligible user” shall be based on ChitChat’s internal records, which shall be final and binding.

6. PRIZE

6.1 The prize consists of a credit of the winner’s next due Premium+ ChitChat subscription fee ($3), resulting in a free Premium subscription for the next subscription cycle.

6.2 The prize:

1. Is limited to the next Premium subscription due date only;
2. Is not transferable, not redeemable for cash or electronic money, and not exchangeable; and
3. Cannot be applied retrospectively to previous subscription payments.

7. PRIZE FULFILMENT

7.1 The subscription credit shall be applied automatically on the winner’s next premium subscription due date.

7.2 No additional action is required from the winner to claim the prize.

8. GENERAL CONDITIONS

8.1 ChitChat reserves the right to:

1. Verify eligibility of any participant;
2. Disqualify any participant who does not comply with these Terms and Conditions; and
3. Amend, suspend, or terminate the promotion at any time where reasonably necessary.

8.2 By participating in the promotion, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and by ChitChat’s decisions, which shall be final.

8.3 Participation in the promotion is subject to, and shall be governed by, the Chitchat General Terms of Service, and the Chitchat Card Supplemental Terms and Conditions as amended from time to time. In the event of any inconsistency between these Promotion Terms and Conditions and the Chitchat General Terms and Conditions or ChitChat Card Supplemental Terms and Conditions, these promotion terms and conditions shall prevail solely for the purposes of this promotion.

8.4 Any prize shall be forfeited if a participant’s account or wallet is deactivated in accordance with the Union54 policies and Chitchat Wallet Terms and Conditions, which shall prevail.  

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
ChitChat shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or delay arising from participation in the promotion or the awarding of the prize, except as required by law.

10.GOVERNING LAW
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Zambia.
